I have an HP Pavillion DV9000, and I dislike the number pad on it. I rarely use it, and it makes you off-center when typing.

haha i would like to see you run two operating systems on your alienware hahaha the m17x is good for gaming and thats it lol my computers good for gaming, windows, office, logic studio, final cut studio, music and oh yeah battery life. you have to put yours on stealth mode lol for an extra 15 minutes i do like all the neon lights though and the blue ray so thats a plus.

yeah, you just put that alienware is only good for gaming, thats what my comment was about. Anyway i sold it already, and waiting for the aurora atx, with max settings available. i know its expensive, but its what i like.

Depends what you want to do with it? If you need something portable and require mac only programs for your job, or compatibility with your home mac, something hip, then the investment in a MacBook will be justified.

If you are not buying one for job related applications, and money is sparse, the investment will probably be unjustified with the current pricing of the Macbook.
