  • (WARNING: WARNING: GEEK ALERT: DEFCON ONE) um. sorry but it is not the first. the Doctor who theme is in fact the first. it is the father of techno and electronica. [ ]-[ ]

  • @FinalDynastyAlpha Does it have a better video as well?

  • @lrodhall Wait, just watched it. Yes, it does.

  • Doctor Who wasn't made using a Synthesizer, it was made using a Theremin.

    This was Synthesized.

  • @FinalDynastyAlpha The Dr Who theme wasn't even made with a theremin! They used old tape machines and effects wrangled by manipulating the tapes and sound from signal generators and every day objects!

  • @FinalDynastyAlpha WARNING: WARNING: GEEK ALERT: in fact waltz in orbit by George Martin was before dr who ;)

  • Electronic as good as it got before the modern day crap... Don't get me wrong, the 70's and 80's were the height of electronic but this was among the first and best

  • @lrodhall Link or it didn't happened...

    please?...

  • this just makes me eat popcorn

  • after ww2 electronic music appeared then gershon appeared with popcorn then electronic/synthersizer music was really at its peak

  • Not the earliest, even if you don't count stuff like Dr Who theme, etc. Kingsley did stuff earlier than this with Perrey that counts easily as istrumental electonic pop.

  • The Doctor Who theme? Are you serious?? Geek or no geek in that case I think it would be called the "mother" of techno/eletronica as it was created by Delia Derbyshire using tape loops of sampled piano strings and what not. No Theremin there lol. What that tune has to do with Popcorn is beyond me.:)

  • Bob moogs only grandaughter is watching this..
