Now I understand why they cost so much! That is a very expensive piece of machinery. Now, having said that. It seems that the mass production should lower the price in the long term. I can hope!

Seems to be some very expensive equipment for making reeds, If it pay's for itself why not. :). I love innovation.

I am a piper, and this video show some great moments in a reeds life. RT Shephers makes some great pipes and reeds, and this machine is just doing the job. Nice. Love it.
