My interpretation of some of the non-verbal messages in Punjabi culture (many also apply to North Indian culture generally!).

Can you think of any more? Add them!

--For "tea," I kinda messed up: I'd have liked to space my fingers apart more, closer to a 'C' shape -- I suppose this is a small amount of tea, here!

  • This is a great video! I'm a non-Punjabi myself who spent a significant amount of time in Punjab, and it's funny how I realized I'd assimilated a lot of these actions without even realizing it. People back home found it quite funny when I returned and had to re-adjust!

  • @ihaveacomputer Thanks for the comment! While I don't think that Punjabis necessarily have more body language than any other cultural group, I think they might use non-verbal signs more for communicating, as opposed to Anglophone culture. At least my experience has been that it's the "native" thing to do a lot of gestures in place of talking.

  • HAHA...extra angry was the best thing I've ever seen. It needs to be a shupple though not a regular shoe.

  • @whalesoundervish You are exactly right! Unfortunately, I don't wear chappals so I didn't have one with me, ha ha.

  • @hultonclint So I'm assuming you spent some time in India or Pakistan Punjab, correct? If not you're channeling spirits straight from the pind.

  • @whalesoundervish Yes to all of them.
