"Thappi" is also more towards the inner thigh. Lol I love Bahut Naraz LOL!! hah the dances are funny. LOL I LOVE THE TRANSLATION :"SONS OF FARMERS MAKE GOAT CALLS" lol that is the funniest thing I've ever heard!! lol "Jatt bakree baloundey" lol - ah man the Daroo one is very wrong, no one ever does that, that would get you killed lol..the correct gesture is like as if your are holding a glass and you tilt it towards your mouth. very funny clip!!
This is a great video! I'm a non-Punjabi myself who spent a significant amount of time in Punjab, and it's funny how I realized I'd assimilated a lot of these actions without even realizing it. People back home found it quite funny when I returned and had to re-adjust!

@ihaveacomputer Thanks for the comment! While I don't think that Punjabis necessarily have more body language than any other cultural group, I think they might use non-verbal signs more for communicating, as opposed to Anglophone culture. At least my experience has been that it's the "native" thing to do a lot of gestures in place of talking.

@whalesoundervish You are exactly right! Unfortunately, I don't wear chappals so I didn't have one with me, ha ha.

@hultonclint So I'm assuming you spent some time in India or Pakistan Punjab, correct? If not you're channeling spirits straight from the pind.

@whalesoundervish Yes to all of them.
