Columbia's expansion is a detriment to this community. It only benefits a privileged few who pass through this area for a few years. Floridita fed the people who actually live here. One of the most unique places anywhere in this neighborhood. Columbia is a just another greedy corporation looking out for their own interests, not the public's.

I would say Ramon is endangering himself by speaking out but the sad truth is he has nothing to lose by doing so.
If they want the land his restaurant sits on they'll get it.

Columbia University is an asset to the community. Yeah, it sucks that your business has to go, but there are plenty of other locations that you can move to. There are vacant lots on 125th street. Why don't you move there and turn a bare lot into a useful restaurant.

Thanks for illustrating the point that it "sucks" but Columbia University, NYU, Cooper Union all could do a lot more for the community than they do. Nice p.r. and easy to move until someone uses the government or other tactics like a gun to your head to force you to move. Massive obscene real estate grabs = do the math. How much tax would they have to pay without tax shelter of higher ed. They could a lot more other than mass displacement.

Please don't waste anymore of my time. I leave your comments up to illustrate the callousness of what you say and "sucks" is how you describe it. Don't bother coming to my YouTubes again. You had your say, underscored my point and there is no need to waste my time anymore. I hope you have to move because of eminent domain and you find a nice lot to move to - easy said far more difficult to live with. I hope you have to live it.
