He is my favorite for sure, after that season I stopped watching that show becasue its all about making money and they dont really care about talents.

Anwar finished 7th in Season 4. The reason he didn't finish higher is that his best 3 performances were the 3 in the top 24 rounds when there were 24, 20, and then 16 still in it. Moon River and What a Wonderful World were EASILY his best 2 through the entire competition. He really only had 1 great top 12 week, when he sang I Know I'll Never Love This Way Again. The theme weeks killed him, he's not a singer who fits theme weeks well. This "because he's gay" nonsense is ridiculous.

@jofreywong unfortunately because he is gay. You saw what happened when Adam Lambert came out and with Anwar it was so obvious. People vote for who they want, which means who fits into their ideal mold of "American star", not who is best. I think he is amazing however I do see a bit of restraint behind the way he sings. His Chaka Khan should have been a bit better. That being said he's an AMAZING musician.

He is one of the best talents of the season! Can someone tell me why he did not make it to the finals? So upsetting, real talent like his should not be wasted...

absolutely one of most favorites from all American Idols. Damn, he's so damn handsome. It was a running joke at my work, that I wanted to have his baby, lol. I actually carried a picture of him that I cut out of a magazine in my purse. I adore him, and yeah, I know....

Yeah I remember him being one of my favorites too. But honestly no one stood a chance against Carrie, it was just her's from her first audition
