Edge 2 stays in tune very well, as long as you don't abuse it too much. The Edge 2 does not fit the Edge 3 cavity, so you cannot replace them unless you make some routing... I strongly suggest you to get a Prestige RG, with the Edge Pro. It's not a Jem, but you'll play without headaches. You can put Evolutions on it then.
How does the whammy bar stay in the tremolo in the edge 2 and hows the tuning stay i have a jem555 with a edge 3 and im really disapointed with the looseness of the whammy bar and the tuning problems, help would be very grateful
And would it be possible to put the pro edge 2 to replace my edge 3

The inferior plate (the base of the tremolo) must be inline with the guitar body, NOT the superior plate of the tremolo.

My guitar is exactly the same as yours, with an Edge Pro II tremolo, much better than the actual and cheaper Edge III.
