I'm a supporter of other unions like ironworkers or boilermakers but this is just ridiculous. These big companies can hire me anyday I'd like to be famous and get paid millions and millions of dollars for siting on my ass and thinking.

Yeah ok fair enough but say you sell 750 million DVDs think how much your making a TON more than even a rich person makes, to do what sit on your ass thinking up random stories. At worst you get a paper cut. At best you make 30 million bucks

They should aboslutely get the 4cents. Why? BECAUSE THERE'S NO REASON THEY SHOULDN'T. We're not talking about some small company that will go out of business if they do this. I mean come on folks. GE, Time Warner...these guys won't even feel it. The money is there...and writers deserve more of it.

the workers and professionals (basically people who do something or exercise some skill for a living) of this country truly are getting screwed, especially since Reagan (the "trickle down effect" horse shit). The fact that so many of you are upset that there won't be any new tv shows (other than reality and miscellaneous) demonstrates that you truly enjoy and value their product. Personally I see nothing wrong with redistributing wealth to some professionals rather.
