Ok im doing this again but now they came out with a new dlc and at the very end where im suppose to put in the checksum it says like firewalker pack and when i try to put the checksum in and play it the save gets corrupted

Now when you say "Fairly New" save, how "New" are we talking about? Cause I did EXACTLY What you did but my save file was on the 1st station and it didn't work. Would it need to be done at Freedom's Progress, or on the Normandy?

It helps to do it as soon as possible! To tell you the truth though this hexing stuff is really unnecessary with the mod tool that's out now. There's a link on my original "How to Mod - Mass Effect 2" vid. Look at the vid description.
