This is my first ever recorded motorbike ride. This video was recorded on a NSW Riders weekend ride here in Sydney Australia and on the Putty Road.
Video was recorded with my new Canon FS22 that I specifically brought to record all my rides with. It is mounted behind a Zero Gravity Optical Windscreen. The alloy camera mount was purchased from eBay and I think is one of the better ones around. As most tank camera mounts only allow you to tilt the camera up and down. But this mount allows you to adjust the height as well as the tilt angle. I have some work to do on the tank mount though and I think spring washers need to be used over the supplied star washers. As the tripod thumb screw kept coming undone from the vibration of the road. It probably didn't help that I added some foam rubber packed between the mount and my camcorder to guard against it from being scratched. But I am confident by replacing the star washers with spring washers it should hold things better. I might even try replacing the foam rubber with a piece of bicycle tube rubber because it's thinner.
I want to experiment with the settings in the camera as well. So my next video will be recorded with image stabilizing off so I can see what kind of difference it makes.
I'd love to rent a Harley and ride your roads but I know I'd kill myself driving on the left !! Just could not stay out of the right lane I'm afraid. Happy Trails....

nice to see you were taking it easy and riding safe! i always see too many douches cutting it up like the public roads are racetracks!
anyway, i'm looking for an alternative to the tank mount as my sv650 v-twin vibrates the video way too much.
also noticed you had videos from the raaf airshow! my mate and i rode up from sydney for it as well. did you enter the carpark through that dirt road with the massive pebbles? lol
