  • yeah, and the aminor with descending bass is just part of the introductory material before the piece really gets started anyhow. And just think of how many millions of guitar pieces there must be that have an aminor chord and a moving bass. Ah, well, people will hear what they hear i guess.

Very good topic and interpretation, you arranged or it is a tab?

  • thanks. Neither. It's Brian Hodel's arrangement. See "About this video"

  • Thanks, Troubleclef! You motivated me to get out my old "Brazilian Masters" book. I used to tell myself the reharmonizations were not worth the effort of getting through the arrangements, but you demonstrated that that was just me being lazy! (Also my reading must be improving.)

  • thanks. yeah, Hodel did a great job if you can stick with him and see what he's doing. lot's of good things in that book. I all do his arrangement of "Manha de Carnaval" here on YT. I gotta get that book out and relearn "Silencio do Amor" (i think it's called) and maybe a couple others. Thanks for reminding ME! :D

  • So this is where it all "started"--ha ha...I remember someone mentioning this piece (not performed by you) regarding the "Stairway" thing and there is a hint of it...I hear other pieces of music within other pieces of music all the time...my friend Rich (kidderminsterbro) did "You're Nobody 'Til Somebody Loves You" and it had Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" kind of chords to it.. Rich agreed.

    anyway, 5*...

  • great stuff.cool.

  • the best!

  • You are so talented. Your music touches my heart.

  • Twenty people have no soul...if they do it cannot experience any emotion, has no ear for melody, and is very black indeed.

  • Real nice!

  • INCREIBLE !

    Fuera de la mente... mas.

  • he says in the video description where he got the tab
