I'd not make this a sport, but train the dogs to be re-assured that they are in no danger.. Maybe I'm over sensitive, but I have a mini-schnauzer, and I'd give her a carrot piece to sit quiet in her basket while I vacuumed. If you start this early enough in their life, they adapt. Vacuums are scary -- be careful with their whiskers, afterall, you're the human. Watch those pups!

They do it every time we vacuum. The black dog is a schnoodle, we think. 14 years old and about the same size.
