What if every step you took deepened your connection with all of life and imprinted peace, joy, and serenity on the earth? Walking Meditation features esteemed Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh along with one of his principle students, Nguyen Anh-Huong, as they together illuminate the central tenets of this powerful art.

  • I'll try doing this early in the morning at the beach... its so relaxing.. :) i love it..

  • Mindful walking for Peace and happiness I love it .

  • I greatly recommend this style of meditation.

  • Nice job. I love the subject of meditation and the brain.

  • "each step brings you back to the present moment, which is the only moment in which you can be alive." i love it. <3

  • Not one of his best tapes, clearly recorded quite some time ago. I think he would choose his words differently now. To act "happy" is not consistent with being "peaceful" or "serene" if one is feeling unhappy or suffering since then acting happy would imply struggle, yet he uses the word as a synonym here. And in fact, his smile appears artificial, quite different from his appearance in later videos, in which he encourages the acceptance of suffering, as being far more on the mark.

  • "Peace is every step" is a great mantra to use when practicing walking meditation. It sets a nice pace for the walk. Regarding Thay's comments about the Pure Land, I am mindful of his calligraphy that reads, "The Pure Land is Now or Never." We are very blessed to have such a wise and compassionate teacher alive and among us at this time.

  • Unable. Unable. Unable. If that is not hell, what is? I am unable. There is something greater than my misery. Unable to see it. Some say "do this". Some say "do that". All I know is misery. I can see that seeking to escape my misery is my misery. some how not good enough. Somewhere somehow is something good enough.
  • great video

  • ...and as you can make peaceful happy steps in the earth, the earth becomes a pure land.
