Rachel, Amanda and Sam Before Cass's Birthday Party

Amanda helps Rachel wrap Cass's birthday present: a first edition of The Great Gatsby. Sam comes in and tells them to go to the party without him, because he just found out he has to rework some material at the studio. Rachel goes to call Cass and tell him they're going to be a little late. After Rachel leaves the room, Sam tells Amanda about Dean's sidewalk concert scheduled the same night Dean is opening at The Tuxedo Club. Amanda is angry that Jenna is backing Dean instead of Sam. Sam is angry that Jenna is backing his competition. Amanda tries to calm Sam down, telling him not to blow this out of proportion, and there are plenty of fans out there for him and Dean both. Sam says he loves the music but he doesn't want it to ruin his life and tells Amanda to keep pulling him back from going over the deep end. Thanks to Janie for the scenes.
