Photoshop - Photomerge CS3

A simple tutorial on how to use this new and improved tool in Photoshop PS3.

Pictures are from atop Twin Peaks in San Francisco (my home).

You really can't appreciate the quality of the pic in the video, so here's the end result..

This file is less than 200kb. The PSD file is 152mb...OUCH!

I just tried what you did in the tutorial but no matter what I do, my Photoshop CS3 keeps giving me a pop-up that says "Some images cannot be automatically aligned." on every option. After that, the panorama just stops building. Any idea what this is? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the interactive layout? This allows you to align the pictures yourself.

i follow your instruction but it doesnt merge at all..it promted me taht some files cannnot be aligned?..whats wrong wih this?

Lenses have a fall off area at the sides with slight vignette effect so when doing an overlap you need to have 30 to 50%. Also you need to set exposure to manual.

Good info to know. Didn't know about the "slight vignette" with lenses. And great tip on the exposure...maybe that will clear up the sky issues I've been having. Thanks Jim!

at 4:20 just use CROP tool. No need to renew the file.

I know this is an old comment but are you sure that your images actually overlap? If it can't find common points between them (due to gaps) it won't be able to align them.
