The safest unknown method of climbing ice

There is a very good reason that this method never caught on. The climber brings up some very good point, however they are on his crampons and no where else. You could try this technigue at your local ice crag and see what kind of reaction you get.

If anyone watches a FUNNY youtube video and says to themselves "shit now I know how to ice climb" and they go out and fall it's their own damn fault!!!! This video is funny, that's what it's meant to be. God I can't stand people who scream "won't somebody please think of the morons!" We certainly do live in a nanny state if someone can be held accountable if someone takes their amusing video seriously. Rock on Joe, are you still doing stuff like the direct finish on Andromeda Strain?

i think id rather still have a 5th tool above those 4 just incase they all give way, but then in theory if those 4 go then my 5th could also fail. so really i need another just incase the backup fails. In my opinion don't think that this is safe... always use 5 or maybe 6 just incase.

Omg.that mountain is really icy. Not good for ski but perfect for climbingi suppose. And you are without cords tied to your body so one single mistake you fall down and die. Wheres you security extra cord for your safety ?
