@jakerzownz It doesn't matter who your teacher is, it depends on how much dedication you have to make your self a good guitar player. Joe Satriani taught Kirk Hammet and Kirk sucks all he does is use his wah when he solos. You call that good guitar playing? Wah's just hide your mistakes when you use ti all the time.
