  • Thanks for the info.

  • Lots of helpful advice, but I've been studying Japanese for almost two years and I have to say that she is mispronouncing almost all the words. But that's okay this was a wonderfully educational video. Just one question, do they EVER let the water out of the tub? Do they all share the water? Oops... that was two questions.

  • I believe it is personal taste. The host family I stayed with let the water out once per week.

  • It's Gochisousama not goshisousama, and Gomenkudasai not gominkudasai. The pronounciation wasn't too good either.

  • I had to bring this info back to my high school students, so give them a little break. I was only there for three weeks and you need a lot more time to practice and get it down. I look forward to going back. A lot of the words were hard to pronounce. it was fun though.

  • Ick, she can't pronounce ANYTHING in there right.

  • well done on the info... gotta work on the pronounciation but still great stuff.

Although just a ammendment to ITA DAKI MAS

its いただきます itadakimasu (pronounced itadakimas) Literally means "I recieve".

In a sense we say "We recieve (this food)" from a Higher Being aka God.

    じゃ~ね。

  • @ShotaWeirdo she gave accurate information and an interesting video, it's like a japanese person speaking english for the first few times, there not going to get it right straight away :)

  • I would assume that they would make an exeption for someone who does not know the japanese language at all so you could just say "Lets begin" and "thank you for sharing this meal" in english untill you got a hold of the language

  • Ok, her pronunciation is so bad, they're almost not even Japanese words. :S But good advice anyway. :)

  • LOL U STYUPID

  • @AkenNichols13 She also didn't pronounce words in a proper tone it came of as a bit ethnocentric but the advice is good however I found when visiting Japan the most useful phrase ever is ' Toire wa doko desuka' (where is the toilet) haha n__n

  • Aaaaaaaaaaah, the Japanese...

I would also say "Ojamashimasu" when you enter someone's house instead of "Gomen kudasai" or whatever was said in the video. Also remember to extend the "so" sound in "gochisosama deshita" It should take up two syllables.

  • 1:19 "eat a doggie moss" ^^

  • Darling you are sweet nice video, but as a Japanese person ,I must say please learn more Japanese. Nice try !!!!!!
