    Hetero and straight are not synonyms. I know an awful lot of gay people who organize their life in very 'straight' ways, and most of my hetero friends are decidedly NOT straight. To me, part of the reason I identified as queer was to avoid stuff like marriage, children, conformity and respectability - and it deeply disappoints me that so many of my alleged fellow community members seem to lust for those things. :)
