DRAMATIC ACTION: English Veiled Muslim Women take on the EDL

Since January the Beacontree Heath Islamic Society has been harassed by the EDL, so much that the mosque has not been able to open for prayers.

On 18th June 2 Muslim men were attacked by up to 40 EDL members which resulted in one of the men having his cheekbone permenantly broken.

In both occassions the mosque has not taken any substantial action due to fear of a reaction from the EDL and the Police have only conducted the most basic of investigations and have not persued this case the way it should have been.

MPACUK has been disgusted by the Police's action, or rather their lack of action, and so on Saturday 9th July organised a demonstration from the mosque to Chadwell Heath Police Station to demand to know why they are not taking more effective action againstt extremist groups like the EDL and also how can they justify not having enough Police officers on the ground considering that the EDL have been known to target this area over the last 6 months.

We need more action against the EDL and hold the Police to account for not doing more - join our campiagn to stop Islamophobia.

@aMiNaB3LLA No, I am saying that to western people it appears as gang-like. I.e... matching clothes / garments. Of course it is cultural, but it is completely backwards to the culture of britain and it is important to respect the values of other cultures as you would of course wish people to respect yours. Trust me I have suffered oppression.. I have faced loads of humiliation and racism but I still can understand the point of view of certain British people. When in Rome, do as the Romans do...

If your referring to the fact that they are all dressed alike, This is a form of protesting to show they are apart of the community and have a right to be treated fairly if they choose to cover themselves. I am for them as I suffer from oppression by western mentality.
