  • @badblueman it seems to me that the only one with a "holier than thou" issue is you. And it seems to struck your nerve more than anything, like a butthurt middle school child. Skees. I believe morozka12 said it wasn't meant to be made into such a big deal, but yet you're blowing up just to prove a point and using your big words to sound like the bigger man, but you're only coming off as an ass.

  • @badblueman You're coming off as a pompous dick, not wise. I never intended for a "holier than though" comment, and in fact, it was a stupid comment used more as a troll joke. Evilmonkeyspirit hit it more or less dead on, so please don't try to make such a big deal out of a comment that wasn't even meant to be taken seriously.

People say the same thing about Nazism.

I did listen. What I heard was a speech about how we can help everyone in spite of cultures having radically different morals. In spite of people being too selfish for this to ever really work. And in spite of the earth having limited resources.

He's preaching true, non-Stalinist Communism, and that's never worked.

Oh, and this speech about peace and love was made in a propaganda movie made to antagonize the Nazis into war. Yeah.

Because you aren't going to reply, I won't bother explaining why you're wrong about this. Instead, I'll just said I don't mind being in the minority here. Considering the majority of people are brain-washed sheep, I'm not looking to think like the ignorant masses.

  • @supermcpwner you have mistaken hate and anger for passion

  • It was a good speech for its time and place, Hollywood in the 1940s, but it's far from being the 'greatest speech in history': greater than the Gettesburg Address? Churchill's 'We will fight on the beaches' speech? Greater than 'I have a dream' by MLK?

It is also embarrassingly sentimental and disconnected from reality. Too sunny and optimistic about humanity, and not an adequate response to REAL evil. In short, a classic Hollywood liberal speech....

  • true love and true wisdom will lead humanity to new heights

  • @AntidoteY

I'm talking about free market capitalism. Atheists, like myself enjoy, a moral market. Not one based on rules that favor the few and oppress the many.

Sounds like you've been watching one too many MSNBC stories documenting the "Taxed Enough Already" crew.

Should I deem you another pro OWS nut-job (All of those morons should be in DC, not the finacial sector)

  • @SuperPvtJose He isn't making fun of him, he's criticizing him.

  • @SuperPvtJose Wow...that's all u got out of that?

  • wow....this is one of the greatest speeches I have ever heard and this was from a movie??? A black and white movie with words that should be spoken and heard by everyone today...then u sit back and think....damn this speech was so long ago and so great...but very little has changed...
