Empire: Total War - Land Battles

After we gave you a glimpse of the all new naval combat features for the game in August, this new video features in game footage of the land battles.

Empire: Total War will feature a revolutionary new game engine to recreate the epic battles of the 18th Century. In a world of rapid technological advancement, colonialism and revolution, gunpowder now takes centre stage, and players will be confronted with how to best use cannon and musket in a Total War game for the first time. Troops can also now take cover, build their own fortifications and occupy buildings as generals push for a strategic advantage.

this game looks so awesome... but whats up with everyone making so many world war 2 and modern warfare games? the 18th century is the time we faught for our freedom! there should be moe games of the Revolutionary War

manifest destiny people. manifest destiny was the USA's rule saying we own all of the land be tween the two major oceans. but that ended after the Gadsden purchase.

@pezza2k8pezza a civil war is a conflict between two equal opponents fighting for control of the countries territory and the people of that country. From the british view this could mean the American Revolution was a civil war. However the Americans did not want to control the British they just wanted the American Colonies to be a independent country because they couldn't pay the taxes the English bestowed upon them. Also the people of the colonies were not only British Citizens.
