How to Install Linux Mint 7 on a VirtualBox by britec.co.uk

Virtualbox is for those who would like to run an alternate operating system inside Windows rather than dual-boot. Using this software allows you complete control over a virtual environment. If you have the license, you can install another copy of Windows inside Windows, or a Linux distribution, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, even OS/2 Warp!

Here is an example tutorial of how to set up Linux Mint 7 inside Virtualbox.

    when i installed mint 7 in sa virtual box

    it say this

    Error ID:HOST MEMORYLOW

    Severity:non fatal error

    wats dat suppose to mean

    i had to upgrade my ram?

  • How much ram do you have and how much ram did you let mint 7 use in virtual box, maybe give mint more ram to use?

  • Is this virtual box working on different os? Even though i have windows vista?

  • you can have windows xp, vista, win7 and linux all running on the same virtualbox

  • For some reason in my VirtualBox settings I don't have the CD/DVD-ROM option to mount and install the iso file. Can someone help me please = Frustrated.

    first of all, great vid.

    When i click on start, i wait a sec and then this window comes with some automatic boot, i have to wait 10 seconds and then some error comes saying that i have the wrong Kernel ?!?!

    What do i have to do there??
