I already read all the synopses and reviews about this film. Critics acclaimed this one of a kind masterpiece as a cinematic "tour de force" and a directorial triumph. It shows war brings out the worst in human beings. The epic scale and production design are "operatic". I consider this cinematic work of art as a living repertoire of a timeless literary masterpiece written and brilliantly executed in film.
eto talaga ang tunay na gawang pinoy nakakalungkot panay noon na lang natin makikita lahat ang na magagandang pelikula yung tipong tatatak talaga sa puso mo di tulad ngayon puro baduy mga wla naman talent !
I blame the studios (Star, GMA, Regal) that make many garbage films that hardly engage the viewer. I just saw "A Very Special Love", and it was trash for something that made millions of pesos. IF a studio can't make a decent romcom.....
It's affordable compared to Star, GMA, Regal new release films, but it's very hard to get a copy from abroad. I'm in the US, and will be able to see it through Netflix. Other Filipinos in other countries might find it hard to view it though legal means.
Isang banyagang kritiko (hindi ko maalaala ang pangalan) nu'ng ginananap ang MIFF, pagkatapos mapanood ang pelikulang ito ang nagsabi na mas maganda pa raw and Oro, Plata, Mata kesa The Deer Hunter at Apocalypse Now, na nagkataon na dito sa Pilipinas din parehong kinunan, kung hindi ako nagkakamali.
As far as I know, this is the best ever,,, no doubt! Galing ng mga Pinoy dati, they love and respect their work. Sana lang people from the film industry should always look back that the story is the most important thing. Not the actors! This Film needs more than a standing ovation...
