Here's the opening titles for You Only Live Twice and the theme song is sung by Nancy Sinatra.

Disclaimer: We do not own James Bond and are not related in anyway. We just fans!

Lyrics:

You Only Live Twice or so it seems,
One life for yourself and one for your dreams.
You drift through the years and life seems tame,
Till one dream appears and love is its name.

And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on,
Don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone.

This dream is for you, so pay the price.
Make one dream come true, you only live twice.

And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on,
Don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone.

This dream is for you, so pay the price.
Make one dream come true, you only live twice.

  • One of the best James Bond movie openings ever. This is the best version of the song as well!

  • Beautiful song. Beautiful credit sequence. The Hawaiian lava flows are fantastic!

  • Best Bond movie ever by a distance-music-locations-girls-gadgets-its got the lot!

  • Brilliant film and best Bond title song ever-John Barrys music legendary-pity the present Bond films fall way short in musicality and adventure!!

  • Sean Connery's fourth-best Bond film, behind:

    1)Thunderball

    2)From Russia with Love

    3)Goldfinger

  • They used to play this song over the PA on the dodgems at Ramsgate esplanade, the acoustics gave it a eerie feeling that was strangely appropriate for the song.

  • I am conflicted--which was better- YOLT or Goldfinger?

  • Favourite Bond song of them all. This version better than the others recorded without some of the instrumentals.

  • best bond ever ...

  • Title of the movie means so much...

the entire crew, INCLUDING Albert R. Broccoli, Harry Saltzman, and Lewis Gilbert, were going to leave Japan in 1966 after scouting for locations to shoot the movie, and were going to take a BOAC flight. However, they cancelled the flight to see a ninja demonstration.

The flight they were supposed to be on took off and flew for 10 minutes, and then broke apart in flight and crashed into the Pacific, killing all passengers and crew on board.

  • This is my favourite Bond film

  • Yep, this song and movie make me miss Japan big time, honto yo.
