At the supply room, Fort Dix New Jersey, waiting in line to exchange gear for new ones. Quarter master blasting this song. Nice change from the sad country music the fellas in my wing of the building was always jamming. Not that I got anything against country music but, hailing from the SF Bay Area as a kid in the 70's, and 80's, a day without a single exposure to any level of FUNK or SOUL is a day without water. I thanked the Supply Sergeant.
