After being away from it for over 25 years, I'm a little rusty, but I'm back to doing art again as an amateur artist. Instead of using paint and canvas, I will now be using a computer and a software program called Inkscape. This program is new to me and I'm now learning how to use it. The pictures in this video are my first two in Inkscape (the first two in over 25 years).

  • I don't see any more work, in the past year...

I advise going in a new direction, this isn't "reminiscent" of Nagel... this is a direct copy, even if you created it. I mean, its dead, boring and 80's... you've gotta do better to call it art.

    Keep trying. INKSCAPE rocks!

  • @SeriesOfTheories

Generally the responsibility and obligations of providing for a family come first. I have always admired Patrick Nagel’s work. His lines and broad solid colors make it a perfect style to copy in Inkscape, allowing me to learn how to use the program in a consistent manner. For now everything I do in Inkscape is for practice. I will likely move on to other types of compositions when I improve and as time permits. I very much appreciate your comment and advice.

    Thank You!
