An old fishingboat. It has a 2 cyl Hundested hotbulb engine 115 hp.
The boat is about 12 meter.
It´s a bad recording, I know, but I will upload it anyway. This ship was for sale, it was very difficult to look around, talk and record a movie at the same time.

  • Only 12 m boat for such big and heavy Hundested? How many weighs it? Hot bulbs have typically 40-50 kg/HP so it can weigh at 5 t.

And what is a displacement of this boat? I think not more than 10 tons. How many weighs boat itself and how many carriage can it take?

  • @Motaro76 Hello, this is not my boat. I was just looking around :)

  • 8:1 compression ratio? so is it gasoline powered? and why do they call it a hot bulb?

  • It runs on dieselfuel, but the engine must be preheated before start. It has a preheating chamber =hotbulb

  • @sealovers17

Preheated. the Hundested I have been out with, have no preheating, but a firecracker....startpatron.

  • @johnsenkenn Ja, det fungerar godt med en startpatron

    också.

    Ha det godt.

Oh, I also dream about a boat! 53 ft is yet too big for me, coz I'll sail only alone.

Is your boat for sail or for motor only?

    Seven feet under keel!

  • I had a Norwegian fishing boat 53 ft, called {hav bris } in 1978, with a big single cylinder engine, a hot bowl where you had to blow lamp the cylinder head before foot pumping in fuel, then air start it, the cylinder was about 6 foot tall, sounder just like you’re engine it did, LOL.

    Thom in Scotland.

  • sometimes i think that boat engins sound better than car engins

  • oh! that makes sense =) i had no idea
