***UPDATE****
(I've been discussing my issues with Charter after being contacted, So far they have been very helpful.)

I am a long time customer of charter communications.
in the past, they provided quality products and services.
My family had a normal digital cable box that lasted 3 years, but now, it seems charter is more
poo-poo then ever. shotty service, frequent outages and bad hardware are setting my sites elsewhere.
can the moxi box fix that?

  • This is SuperTech and all I can say is..."its not Charter is't your TV...hhhnnk"

  • haha, is this sarcasm or a reference to something? T he box has been replaced and I no longer have problems.

  • Those moxi boxes are crap. I happen to know that charter is phasing those moxi boxes out. They are very difficult for techs to set up and for dispatch to map the channels properly. They are every charter techs nightmare. If you are having problems and still have your moxi box, call charter or bring your box in and swap for a motorola DCT with DVR. I have had mine for 2 years no problems.

  • This is what I had done (in part 2), Now I have no issues with random shutdowns and freezes, the new Motorola box has done everything right that I've thrown at it. It is unbelievable to me that the moxi was even considered stable.

  • umm charter is not reliable it f'ed up my computerand u hardly save as thing

  • I'm not exactly sure what you're saying.

As far as charter rendering a computer unusable I don't think that is possible.

  • Charter execs got some sense about them and decided to phase out the Moxis. What they're doing right now is using the rejected Moxis from the big cities and putting them in smaller towns. Not a good strategy. Anyway, they're getting rid of them in favor of TiVO boxes - they have a partnership with TiVO and maybe they might actually work now

  • charter is fine. but the MOXI box 3012 is bad. its slow. just fail Fuck moxi i hate moxi. and other box i seen for hd is fine. but this box sucks.

my review for moxi is get something else... anything else. 15-25mins for boot up of the box is way too long.

Thank god a storm broke my moxi box and i made them upgrade it to a multi-room dvr.

Also a pc dvr/digital tuner card is million times better then any dvr box.

  • most techs are not properly trained to install moxi dvr's if you get someone that knows what there doing there actualy decent and have a better picture quality than the dch3416 or the new dcx models though they do not have hdmi output but if there installed wrong there the worst box you could get

  • moxi boxes rule

  • speak fast you do. speak slower you should?

  • are u high or somethin'?

  • and by the way.. charter doesnt mess up your computer and render it unusable. That is your fault buddy..
