In 1986 the BBC showed a widescreen film called Adam's Woman. Not only was it one of the worst-ever examples of 'pan and scan' (and it seems that was being done live). But halfway through they forgot to change reels.

  • Managed to stop to 0:07 where it shows blue bar, green bar and a red bar

  • Who's that woman on that upside-down photo on 0:07 seconds?

  • "What's the matter with ya, give her a squeeze."

    Is she Catherine Zeta-Jones..?

  • My goodness. Now that's an error

from the bbc. At least they have

the computers to operate the system

  • What you talking about. TK was live on air thirty years or more.

  • There is a video of that happening online: Search for Star Trek BBC1 temporary fault.

  • Embarassing to say the least! About 9 secs of action lost on the incoming reel too!

  • Never put TK direct to air! I remember a similar incident with "Star Trek" when the film snapped and the broken end was visible for several seconds.
