Wirtgen AutoPilot - Autonomous 3D Machine Control for Pavers - Application Video

MachineControlOnline.com visited Maysville Kentucky to get a first hand look at Wirtgen GmbH's new 3D Machine Control system. Wirtgen's AutoPilot system takes a slightly different approach to positioning technology. Although robust, AutoPilot is simple to use and surprisingly affordable. The system uses RTK GPS and laser technology to position Wirtgen's SP 15 and SP 25 slipform pavers. It assists with the fully automatic paving of most diverse profile configurations, such as straight, curved or oval profile paths.
