Madam Lai Kwan was pregnant in 1982 when she worked at the Mitsubishi rare earth refinery in Bukit Merah, Malaysia. This film is a peek into the life she has led since her child was born in 1983.

  • great mother, great son as well.

do you still kiss your mother like he does?

  • Hi, I'm joon han, one of the filmmakers involved in this project. May I suggest we go easy on "sheehowcheng"? I believe he/she just made an honest mistake and didn't mean to insult Chui Mui or her work.

  • @RafflesiaPong I just wonder how Kok Leong will be cared for in 20 or 30 years time. Do you know of any way that we could lend community support or financial support to Lai Kwan and her family?

  • 7 Dislike from Rare Earth' idiot!

  • @VulpineNinja You must be quite daft to not be able to understand the root of the Malaysian people's dissatisfaction witht eh Lynas project. First of all, this project was shoved into our faces without the rakyat having much of a say in it. Secondly, given our track record in management and building safety, this would seem both absurd and suicidal. Rare earth materials when managed carefully, poses minimal risks. But are we up to it? I doubt it.

  • @VulpineNinja I hardly think u are in any postion to comment on anyone else's grasp of the English language. Reading your post made me in cringe in agony at the numerous grammatical errors it contained.

  • @glsblink haiya your English sucks no wonder you didn't understand. if you want to stop Lynas, stop the demands on manufacturing rare earth materials that is used in smart phones, which means stop buying the goddamn smart phones that you all love so much. Thank goodness I don't have one.

see there, again you accuse ppl for being pro-BN or whatever la. Here's the problem with 3rd world mindset hahahhaha

  • @VulpineNinja dude what u try to said ? One hand stop lynas then said do not demand ? How to stop lynas when u do not demand them to stop. Seriously i think u must be pro Bn or Lynas or something. Anyway which ever it is. Also long the thing bud in Malaysia the most of Pahang is gone.

  • @glsblink the point is, you want to stop them building them damn thing, stop the demands la!!

  • Aunty please take good care~ i know you won notice wat i write here~ but i really wish that u can live healthily~

    STOP LYNAS~
