geraldo is a dweeb. im not straight edge, but i agree with some of the ideals and values. drugs are nothing but f***ed up coping tools that lead users into spiralling paths of self destruction. and its sad that such a morally empowering movement gets the ill end of the stick in the media eye.

chances are that the kid that got the beat down was a drug dealer, which theyd never disclose on the media (or the family could sue for defemation of character), in which case, he got what was coming. those that make money on the weaknesses of society through addictive flaws deserve to eat a shoe toe-first. yea i feel for the dad ans admit there are some violent sxe kids, but since when is it a crime to not be a fuck up??

People still associate straight edge with being almost exclusively hardline. Straight isn't bad at all but I find people who just claim being sober are the most laid back about it.
