@yingdiskette In order to be prime, the number can ONLY be divisible by itself and 1. 8 can also be divided by 2 and 4 and so it isn't prime. Now look at the number 7. That number is prime because it can ONLY be divided by itself an 1. Its just a definition...try not to get too hung up on it :) Thanks!
I don't get it... 8 divided by 1 equals 8 and 8 divided by 8 equals 1 so how are they not prime?
