Several homes have been hit by thieves pretending to offer prayers to gain entry into a flat. Homes in Tampines, Hougang, Redhill, Ho Ching Road and Telok Blangah have been targeted.

Police are on the lookout for three men who could help crack the case. If you have any information please call 1800 255 0000 or +65 6255 0000 if calling from overseas. You can also email your tip-off to spf_police_information@spf.gov.sg

Beware too of other types of scams used by scammers to enter your homes and steal from you: For example by pretending to be a plumber/electrician, government official or volunteer from a welfare organisation.

How can you prevent yourself from falling victim to such scams? Find out on i-Witness. For more information on the Singapore Police Force, log on to www.spf.gov.sg
