this is helpful. i wanna change the alternator on a 2001 tacoma i just inherited. can anyone give me a tip on removing the protective "hood like" cap the covers the battery cable connection on the alternator itself. i guess i could pry it off, but i'm wondering if there's a better way to do it. hope someone can help...
