Learning the New Facebook Part 1 - Interface Changes

This is part one of our small video series dedicated to making you feel comfortable with the new Facebook, and some of the features that will come with it.

Video 1 will take through the motions and discuss where certain elements that you are used to seeing have moved to:

We may be adding more videos to this series if needed. We really want to make sure nobody is lost or confused on How Facebook works. You may understand and know everything about Facebook's system, but many people don't. If you're like me, and you've been on this network since the early days when it was college networks only, you likely know a whole lot more about how to use Facebook than a person who joined this year.

This is to make people feel comfortable using it. Facebook isn't evil, it's simply a tool that you are able to interact with. They have opened up your ability to share your life with people. Nobody is making you do anything, and you are never required to give out any information that you don't want to. All you need for an account on Facebook is a name, and an email address that is hidden from public view anyways (if you want it to be). That's it.

I honestly could care less if this video gets a hundred views, or a million in a day. We aren't making any money on them anyways, and we never will. All we (HotTips!) cares about is that people feel comfortable using the technology around them, and that they know how to use them to better their lives.
