Video showing the versatility of an electric bike. It can legally ride anywhere bicycles can go and gas motorcycles and can't. The A2B Metro is a light electric vehicle that's regulated similarly to a bicycle so unlike mopeds and motorcycles, it can be used on bike trails and travel in bicycle lanes. It does not require any license, title, registration, or insurance to operate. A full charge yields 20+ miles range, 40 miles if you opt for a 2nd battery. The Gen. 2 version shown here features regenerative braking to recharge battery a bit when stopping. Quiet, emission free, and only about US 10 cents a charge. You have the option of pedaling or just using throttle like a scooter without the smoke, noise, or gas of a gas powered motorbike. Riding an electric bike can make sense for urban commuters in bike friendly cities like hilly San Francisco where bicycle infrastructure is improving.
