@michaelwuzthere knowing exactly what is happening with the money supply isn't principle? A real grown-up discussion about marijuana? Ending the notion of nation building? Many of Dr. Paul's supporters endorse and understand these Principles.

Is that so? I would argue that freedom allowed capitalism to flourish, not the other way round.
If you think your rights and your freedom are a luxury capitalism allows you to have, you’re sorely mistaken. These freedoms, these ideas of justice, the sense that we’re all created equal and endowed with unalienable rights, that is the true core of America!
And these things will last even if the economy burns to ashes and the U.S. becomes the poorest country in the world.
