@rallyivan1234 The bass player is Mickey Tickton...he used to play in my old band TUSH...the band that Def Leppards's Phil Collen also played in. Mickey lives in Wales these days and is still playing.
@stratoman2004 why the hell did Ron leave IM? Early days DVD sounds like he was kicked out. I guess he could have got back in at the end of 79. I got into metal on the tale end of NWOBHM but back then there seemed to be loads of bands kicking around. Its a sad state of affairs these days. Dennis seems like the kind of guy who went from one band to the next around east london trying to make it.
@bengativo6 This thing about Kiss intrigues me...I know Dennis was a fan but when Jim and I wrote the song neither of us knew much about Kiss at all. So maybe Dennis' influence comes across on the recording but I don't personally hear the connection.
@bengativo6 I've got loads of material from the Gibraltar days...not only the 3 demos but also live gig and rehearsal tapes. It might be of interest to some so I'm going to work on a way of getting all of this out there...
@stratoman2004 wow thats awsome dude, being around with these guys ,you also sound like kind of an intersting person, well thatd be awsome to hear from those songs as well,cheers....
@bengativo6 I have two other tracks recorded from the same session and also some rehearsal tapes I'm planning to get into MP3 format. If there's enough interest from Maiden fans I'll try to get them on iTunes, Spotify or something like that.
@bengativo6 My name is Tony Miles and played in Gibraltar with Dennis back in 1980. In fact I wrote the song, along with the drummer Jim Lassen, and Dennis added some of the lyrics. As the title says, it was recorded at Spaceward Studios in Cambridge, UK. Dennis was not the only ex-Maiden guy who played with us at one time or another, we also had Ron Matthews, Tony Parsons and Bob Sawyer (very briefly). I don't know where Dennis is these days and love to get back in touch with him.
@orkforce300 i think he did a better job than paul mario failure ,wilcock ended up firing everyones ass in maiden xept for steve harris, and ended up quitting,
i like see a LP press of this interesting material!!!!!!
