Sort of sounds like music from the Olympics!

First time I've heard the entire piece. NBC has always had a great full orchestra closing. I remember the closing theme with Huntley and Brinkley (Good night Chet, Good night David, and good night from NBC News) and the piece from I believe Beethovan would start. Friday nights were really a treat because they would usually play the song in its entirety. CBS hasn't had a good one in awhile.

@Nighthawk4494 saw him playing it live on MSNBC. Agreed, I love this and the CBS Evening News themes. Much better than the ABC or BBC themes. "Brought to You in LIving Color on NBC."

@DBR00 Yup. John Williams composed all of those great NBC themes and that first Olympic theme the same year, 1984. He did other Olympic themes in 1988, 1996, and 2002. The guy can score anything and make it sound good.
