Blood Red Moon Over Cranston, RI USA

The coolest full moon I've ever seen..it was like this most of the early morning..weird.

It appears to be blood-red because it is the perfect time; as the Moon orbits Earth, there is a point in time where it is positioned perfectly so the Earth blocks the Sun's light from reaching it, as they would when the moon appears to be normal and white. When this occurs, you are observing something called a lunar eclipse, which is actually a really cool sight to see to tell ya the truth; not many get to be at the right location on Earth at the right time to view something like this.

@Darrow760 ..explain yourself sir..I don't understand your comment...If you're saying that towards the end it looked redder, I already mentioned to another commenter that it was alot redder through the naked eye than the cam..The cam makes it look a bit orange..but when I say it looked like blood...I meant it...'cause it did.

A red moon isnt so special.. back in the medieval days, people thought werewolves would unleash there fury upon the world and that many people would receive a child.. wiccans think it gives them more power for rituals.. its nothing special..

i seen an orange moon a few years back and then a bright yellow one a few months ago. its amazing how the color spectrum of the moon can change at different times of the day or year

I believe that's a total lunar eclipse. I have seen analmost total one. But it was orange.

Don't go saying oh blood red moon like in the prophecies, Lunar eclipses aren't some huge event that has never happened before. We can't just read Bible prophecy literally like that. Is there going to be a giant statue from Daniel 2 that rules over the world, no, the statue represents different kingdoms. Remember the prophets wrote in times when they were persecuted and the scripture would be burned unless they used symbols.
