'The history of my life is in my songs'. Judy Garland. The world is reawakening to the musical legacy given to us by an enigmatic genius. In this video, hopefully I am pulling back the curtain just a little more. ... For Liza, Lorna, & Joe. Jesse & Vanessa. May the light of Judy Garland's legacy shine forever.
This video is a fascinating glimpse of Judy Garland, the person. It is the story of a flight attendant who met Judy while she was flying to New York. It is the audio from a radio program, American Public Media, with Dick Gordon. Photo overlay.

  • what a wonderful story

  • Thanks! ... I want the world to know Judy Garland - The Person - not just the Legend, or the myths or the talent.

  • What a beautiful story I've never heard before.. such a glimpse into Judy!

  • I had not heard this story either ... it does 'pull back the curtain' ... just a little.

Stay tuned ... I have something that is even more fascinating ... Judy's Last Broadcast Interview ... with Mickey Deans, too. I'll get it done as soon as I finish The Legacy Series & find the right photos,

    Rare & wonderful.

  • Really nice work on this whole production, and very nice story! Thanks very much for posting this!

  • One of the best videos featuring Judy I have ever seen. Never before seen photos are terrific. I especially like the one in which Judy is gazing upward at a blue bird. Thanks for posting!

  • I've heard alot of interviews from Judy herself & stories from those who knew her. But as many others commented, never the flight attendent story. Thank you so much for posting that! It's probably the dream of us all who love her...the we would have been as lucky to have "a one on one experience" like that.

  • I LOVED the flight attendant's story!

  • I met Sid luft back in Late June '97 @ the Judy Fest in GR, MN.Judy would have been 75yrs old. I also met Joey & Lorna who were very nice. Sid was so down to earth & we had drinks and talked 1 on1 for about 30 min. I asked him what was she like in person? To Know her, in person & so on. He said "Judy was like an alien. She had this energy that u could be in a room with a 1K people, not see the door & she would walk in & u she was present. She was one of a kind. Thank God I got a pic of Sid & I.

  • I totally find myself wanting to let others Know Judy Garland and explain the real Person. As many "comebacks" as Judy had they most certainly over powered her setbacks but people want to see the sad side but I rather watch her just as she was, a Human being and a great star with a flaws. That made her genuine. I loved when you hear her struggle due to a sore throat etc, and wonder if she will be able to hit that note then Nails it! Thanks for all your posts. Sorry if I babble. Thanks again!

  • Aw. That story was great! If she held my hand I would probably pass out! Luv her. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
