@gsusreloded I get what you're saying. It's a good thing most peoples have come away from intermingling the powers of state with religious reasoning. I don't have a problem with what others believe, so long as they're not forcing me into their box.

@thabithskit It seems they have changed. Just look at the State of Israel and the Roman Catholic Church, and compare what they allow to what is forbidden in the Torah.
Paul the apostle wrote, "All things are lawful for me" FOUR times. And he also wrote that the old covenant was ready to vanish away, nearly two thousand years ago.

Why did you say UFO sightings are not credible? Do you think that when an otherwise extremely credible witness reports seeing a UFO that they suddenly are no longer credible?

Believe it or not, I've been on a talking treadmill before. lol. It said something like "5 miles completed"
What atheists seem to not understand, or don't care to understand, is that homo sapiens (according to science) have always been religious - 50,000 + years - and that religion was an extremely important part of our social evolution (according to anthropology) - "behavioral modernity".
How can anyone embrace evolution of species, and then complain so much of what they believe is caused by evolution?
Take away symbolic thought. Take away imagination. And mankind will have no choice but atheism.

@EliasCrowe The only problem with religion is that it wants to be exempt from scrutiny. If it were possible to scrutinize it, this argument wouldn't even exist. IMO

@gsusreloded Why do you think it's impossible to scrutinize religion?
EliasCrowe 2 months ago
@EliasCrowe Well it's possible for sure. But any attempt to do this in a public forum (youtube being one of the exceptions) or to scrutinize actions based on religious reasoning or scripture usually ends very badly. Even if those actions are proven to cause harm. Thats the real problem with religion. If it was just a personal belief system, it would be any where near as bad.
