Why does the Bible not mention dinosaurs?

Job 40:15-24 says,

15 Behold now Behemoth, which I made along with you;
He eats grass like an ox.
16 Behold his strength in his loins
And the power in his stomach muscles.
17 His tail sways like a cedar;
The sinews of his thighs are knit together.
18 His bones are tubes of bronze;
His limbs are like bars of iron.
19 He is a prime example of God's amazing handiwork;
Only his Creator can threaten him.
20 The hills bring him their produce,
And all the wild animals play nearby.
21 Under the lotus plants he lies down,
In the covert of the reeds and the marsh.
22 The lotus plants cover him with shade;
The willows of the brook surround him.
23 When the river rages, he is not alarmed;
He is confident, though the Jordan gushes into his mouth.
24 Can anyone catch him off guard,
Or can anyone trap him and pierce his nose with snares and lead him away?

Scientists have studied this chapter and found that when the Bible mentions the Behemoth, it's talking about an animal that the dinosaur book calls Brachiosaurus. And God says that He created this creature along with man (the sixth day).

  • Dont get me wrong, it's not really possible to just call it as it was intended....but doesnt it sound just as much like an elephant as a dinosaur?

  • @UNITARELIC Nope, because an elephant doesn't have a tail like a cedar tree. An elephant has a tail like a twig.

  • Way to ruin this scene ass clown

  • Wow! The bible describes brachiosaurus in such amazing detail... NOT!

    There's nothing like speaking in metaphors to cover your bets and keep your options open. I can't believe people waste their time trying to interpret ancient babble. The only thing it produces for certain is ignorance.

  • What a crock of shit, sounds like an Elephant to me.

  • @brainy1130 god doesn't send those who do not follow him to Hell that would be irational, ergo unintelligent and god is infineitely intelligent, and i do follow him, in a non structured way. Not being christian is not the same as godless.

  • @natesdevices Yeah, I know that God is caring. He loves us more than anything else, and he created everything. But God can't always allow everyone, such as the ones who are evil and vengeful or the ones who don't follow him, such as yourself, go to heaven. He is not evil, and I am definately not trying to say that at all. He just has to do it.

  • @natesdevices CONTINUED FROM EARLIER COMMENT- philosopher, he is filled with compassion and caring and a desire to see us prosper, and that, all i just said, is assuming that there is a god. Christians, such as yourself, no offense, would like to believe in a violent and forceful deity, lacking in all qualities but his wrath. The point is, if there is a god, which there could be and i hope there is, he is nothing like how you and your religion percieve him. Niether you or myself are going to hel

  • @brainy1130 i believe in god, just not your god. If and when the church fails, as just about every country renounces a strong national religion, everyone will be fine. The only people who go to "hell" are the ones who deserve it. No god who invested the time and effort to create the universe has any desire to send 75% of the world's population, as well as every animal ever constructed ever to hell simply for not believing in him. God is NOT a jealous and vengeful god. God is a great artist and-

  • @natesdevices Read "Answers in Genesis", and you'll see it. And why do you think that people lie by saying the truth? And if the churches cease to exist, you wouldn't believe in God, so I guess you and the other non-believers would be the ones who didn't like the churches would go to hell. I guess it would be your loss.
