Horse long distance transport investigation

When Compassion in World Farming investigators followed a truck transporting horses from Romania to Italy, they found the drivers broke an important EU regulation by not providing these animals with water. They also broke with basic human decency, in their cruel disregard for animal welfare.

There is no excuse, no justification and no reason for this obscene cruelty ! No animal deserves to be subjected to such treatment. Horse breeders, all horse and pony owners who would allow such an ending for their horses, have much to answer for. It is a barbaric industry that must be ended !

According to Agriculture & Agri Foods Canada, statistics, 93,812 horses died in Canadian slaughterhouses in 2009!! A market for horsemeat for human consumption exists in EUROPE & Asia, ect. HOWEVER, the majority of people DO NOT support it & nearly 2/3 of canadians DO NOT believe in KILLING horses for meat! Yoy sure don,t know, how terrible it is in the slaughter houses! don,t you? WTF!!?? 24 hrs, no food, no rest, standing, through high winds of the highways, all cramped in there like sardines in a can, ect ect!! WTH is wrong with EU, you guys are totally insane. Not only do you eat horses, you order from the US and Canada, to satisfy, your tastebuds!? Horses are sacred, rather you like it or not. period! @seepy1999 , Agree totally. a menmade hell for animals, and guess what @Steve, a menmade hell for humans as well by the people in power.

Animals are innocent, humans are not. The world would still exist without humans, at this rate it is gonna blow and already does. Humans would die without animals, even if they don't eat meat. And i.o. respecting animals they treat them like sh.t, that is the humane thing to do.

hilk... if you really don't think humans are more important than horses then I'm glad you're not in a position of power and almost certainly never will be. Seepy, have you been diagnosed as clinically insane yet or are you stillon the waiting list. Please develop a sense of perspective; humans have a far more complex brain structure and ability to contemplate death, horses, as far as all scientific evidence shows, do not. @Stevefphillips Why ? What makes humans more important than any one of these horses? What makes humans more important than anything else? Because we think we are. These innocent creatures are VICTOMS OF HUMANS. Humans have a voice and humans have choices. These horses are at the mercy of humans. All animals are at the mercy of humans and in my opinion humans are the worst species on EARTH. I pity the infants and children again at the hands of adult humans..GOD BLESS THE ANIMALS
