  • Heya i subbed i like your channel and videos.

I'm planning to buy ati 4770. i have dual-core E5200 @ 2.51 ghz and 2gb ddr2 ram..with these and ati 4770 how much fps can i get in gta 4 and other similar games like crysis?

    will it lag?

    Thank you..

  • @Kenbackup the 4770 is about 2 generation behind now, depends on your budget newer GPUs are pretty cheap as well, games like GTA4 or Crysis will play fine for the most part, but it won't hold up for the future games.

  • @tricccple I dont really want full HD gameplay even in the current or future games..720p is enough for me with 30fps+

    ..so is 4770 ok?

  • @Kenbackup right now it's okay and all,4770 is fast enough to handle just about everything at the moment, but just keep in mind, aside from performance, there's feature to consider too, such as directx support etc. as tech advances, old tech would not be able to experience the neat features that up coming stuff have to offer.

  • @tricccple Thanks! i found that ati 5770 is around the same price here and is much more powerfull..my motherboard is intel g33..if it can support it,I'll surely go for the 5770..

    thanks for your help :)

btw how much is your psu? mine is 400w.

  • @Kenbackup I generally keep my power supply above 550w

  • @tazaka, the gts250 is just a rebranded 9800gtx (rebranded like everything of nvidia), so its not bad but i would go for the 5750.

  • actually hd4770 beats the shit out of other cards in the same price-area and yes my english sucks i know.

  • @soma1509 overdrive is good but it is after all windows application doesn't always run great on all mobo. with this mobo it's buggy (like isee it actually save settings to bios ONCE< but only once)

  • @tricccple : I just ordered it...this should turn out to be very interesting. I downloaded the latest P09 BIOS and is ready to flash whenever it gets here. Now, do you think the AMD Overdrive is actually useful? I've heard about using HEX values just to change the NB multiplier. This would make my very first AMD system on a budget xD

I'm looking forward to try and do an SLI hack on this board and maybe mount my 3 9800GTX's

  • @soma1509 that was a very very good performance board, if u know what u are doing, good board to go with, BUT, it is also a very very buggy board, i did have a lot of problems, in term of it's design, for example, certain bios won't allow u to change voltage and cpu settings unless u cold start it manually right after u choose save and exit, stuff like that.

  • I actually managed to dig up this board [foxconn a79a-s] on newegg and plan to order it as a backup motherboard with a Phenom II 940 BE. I know it's a while back, but do you remember if this board ever gave you trouble? It seems like a really good bang for the buck nowadays, especially with a new BIOS supporting the new 6 core.
