This is my 25% scale "Granville Brother's" Gee Bee R-2 racer. The original was built by the Granville Brothers for their entry in the 1932 Thompson Trophy Races. Like the original, this one is a handfull!

@g6rcteam Sure would have liked to have been around in the 30s and be able to go to the Thompson Trophy Races and actually watch guys like Doolitlle fly. I'm sire it would have been something to see!

@Iliketofly54 i was born in springfield and my grandfather painted all the granvilles geebee and other emblems on the sportsers in 29 30 31 &1932 our gee bees fly great 1\4 scale r-1 r-2 1\4 scale z and model d sportsers you just have to be able to rangle a hot plane like jimmy doolitlle said fly the plane dont be flown!
