i don't know that you can say "this cat is better than that cat" the felines are, from the smallest to the biggest, the most amazing creatures to grace this ball of rock we live on.

@greentea1494 If you really think that these are the most incredible animals in the world, then leave wild cats in their habitat. A more animal friendly option is buying a Savannah. This is a domestic cat with serval ancestry.

True, I don't, but it's a reasonable assumption. Animals evolve so that their instincts and desires fit the environment they have historically lived in. If you take an animal out of its natural environment and place it in a completely different one, it will most likely be unable to act on many of its instincts and fulfill its desires. That will not make for a happy animal.

Evolutionarily speaking, Cheetahs are the children of Servals as it was Servals which Cheetahs evolved from.
PS - Would love to buy a ranch and live with a clan of Cheetahs myself.
Not financially feasible though.

Servals aren't legal to own as pets in many states. In states where they're legal, often a permit is required. For most they are lousy pets. They require a large outdoor enclosure (they won't use a litter box) and LOTS of time. They're a lifelong commitment as they tend to only bond with their 1st owner. No one should get a Serval until working with them hands-on for a minimum of 500 hours. The vast majority of folks will quickly realize they arern't capable of properly caring for them.
