@DBR96A This game was not on CBS, it was on ABC. ABC did the Saturday games on wild card weekend back then. You are right though, FOX definitely raised the bar when they started doing games.

@daveatmizzou The Packers wouldn't have traded, they just should have drafted Barry instead of Tony. Barry behind Farve would have been even more fun to watch. I still loved watching Brett play. He made some throws that we all wish he never made but he also made some that NO OTHER QB could have made. He's one of the best, top 5 for sure. My top 5, MONTANA, MARINO, FAVRE, YOUNG, MANNING.

@BobLoomerhead The bigger thing is, had the Packers drafted Sanders (BTW he said he wouldn't play for GB, same with Deion), Ron Wolf would never have gotten the GM job, which more than likely means no Favre and no White. So, yes trading Mandarich for Sanders would look great, it wasn't that simple.

Wow, that was CBS's last season broadcasting NFL games before losing the contract to FOX. If there's one thing that FOX did right, it was modernize the graphic displays and presentations during the games. CBS had gotten stale, apparently, because the graphics during this game looked just like those that they used during the mid- to late 1980's. CBS must not have cutting-edge graphic design guys, though, because even today, their displays look kind of stale compared to the other networks.

Had instant replay been implemented back then the way it is today, this would have never happened. Sharpe fumbled on the previous play. Btw all who say if Sanders was there GB would've beaten Denver...That would'nt have changed that fat out of shape defensive line that Shanahan exploited

@aries54143 : I agree totally. One thing I've always said to the Favre bashers, Why do you hate seeing him play? Whether you love him or hate him, you are ALWAYS gonna get your money's worth. You can't guarantee that every ANY other QB. Not even Michael Vick. Whether it's him throwing 4 TDS or 4 INTS like you said. There was **and I use the term WAS loosely :)** no middle ground with Brett Favre. He's an epic winner and an epic loser. Gonna miss seeing number 4 out there.
